Awright, I'll list one for starters. Without one of my StickHeroes, I would not be a speaker or coach today. Jim Cunningham was the first person to suggest I become an inspirational speaker. Long before I had any desire to do anything that would intentionally attract attention to myself ("I get enough attention as it is just by walking and existing, thank you very much—and it's not for any positive reasons!"), Jim saw in me what I had never seen or considered as a possibility. At a time when I felt hopeless and life seemed pointless, Jim saw the point and gave me hope. He understood that the challenges, obstacles, setbacks, and loss that continually filled my life, could be redeemed by sharing them with others and providing them hope and inspiration to persevere in their own lives. I first met Jim as my career counselor. I now know him to be a constant encourager not only of me, but of nearly everyone whose path he crosses. Jim helps others see their own Stickabilities. He holds up a mirror so people see their Core and who they are when they can't see it for themselves; he helps them get a Grip on reality instead of their perception of reality—and he provides a smooth Foundation of support and encouragement when the going is filled with potholes. Thank you, Jim Cunningham. Without you, I might not exist today. You are my StickHero!
